Advocates for the Oak Ridge Reservation will hold its Annual Meeting in the Social Room of the Oak Ridge Civic Center at 7:00 on February 26, 2015. Our featured speaker is Ron McConathy, a well-known local photographer. Ron will present a slide presentation of nature at its finest, with emphasis on the flora and fauna found at the Oak Ridge Reservation. The event will provide an opportunity to discuss some of the opportunities and challenges facing conservation of the 20,000+ acre Oak Ridge Reservation. Light refreshments will be provided. AFORR members are encouraged to participate in a short (5-10 minute) business session at the beginning of the meeting, at which our recent activities will be summarized and a vote on Board membership will be held. Members of the public are welcome.
AFORR is a coalition of conservation-minded individuals and organizations committed to the future of the Oak Ridge Reservation as a public resource for the long-term benefit of the Department of Energy, the local community, and the nation.
